Then Xenri came into my mind, with tonnes of positive review it's actually on my want to go list for quite some time. So tried my luck and called them up. Yipeee.... they accepted my booking. Though it's a rainy day, the traffic is still consider smooth sailing and we reached within 40 minutes. I love being early birds for buffet. :)
Begin with very fresh sashimi, poached prawn is firm and bouncy but lack of sweetness, oyster is fresh, firm and slippery, ebi tempura is not pipping hot and a tad salty and noodles no comment as I don't taste it! 😁
Some of the selection available at the buffet counter.
Avocado sushi, soft shell crab sushi is decent, spring chicken a tad salty, scallop is more to chewy texture as it's those processed scallop, another round of prawns and the green endamame.
Beef Sukiyaki is nicely done with very sweet sukiyaki soup. I did not bother to finish the soup.
Smoked duck is sinfully good, salty turkey ham while the small crab is just nice for finger foods.
Desserts is nothing to shout about. I am too full to try out the cakes, in fact it does not look attractive to me. Grab some fruits and a cup of pudding/jelly which taste awfully weird.
Overall selection wise is consider fair, most of the foods are tad salty to my liking, plus point is fresh sashimi and sushi. Attentive waiters to clear your plate and attends to your needs.
For RM68++/person I would say it's a reasonably priced buffet in KL town. But personally, I would still prefer ala carte buffet!
