BOWL & THAI CAFE @ PLAZA MONT KIARA

Craving for some hot and fiery foods, I had Thai foods popped into my mind like immediately. Decided to check out this Bowl & Thai Cafe located in Plaza Mont Kiara. Bowl & Thai Cafe offer value for money Thai street food in a no frills environment. Finding this cafe can be a little tricky, however if you are familiar with number76 Style salon it is located just few doors away.

Very simple setting cafe....

First up, of course none other than the
Tom Yam Gung (Rm11) Served with rice/noodle, it comes with 2 big prawns for a serving. The soup gives me a pungent and zesty feast of flavour with every slurp. I go for the mild spicy that day yet the spicyness still got me ohhlala.... Talk about love and hate relationship! Lol
Thai minced pork & basil with rice (Rm10)
You can never go wrong with basil especially with a basil lover. Generous gravy too, which goes oh so well with the white rice. For a moment, I've totally forgetten my no carbo diet!

Thai dry green curry with pork(Rm10) Once being served, I'm very attracted to its beautiful ohh so green colour with the pork done just right. However, its a tad too rich for my liking.

Kerabu chicken feet (Rm10) A little spicy and sourish, makes it a great appetizer. IMO, I would prefer it to be a little more spicier for more kick! Lol

Thai pandan chicken rice(Rm10) Feeling greedy, we wanted to tried out this yellow color fried rice too. Turns out the yellow colour actually from turmeric. Taste wise, it's a little bland to my liking. Pandan chicken here uses the chicken breast therefore the texture kind of dry a little. Each little pieces are wrapped in pandan leaves, therefore there's fragrant of pandan with every bite.

Last but not least, desserts. Water chestnut in rich coconut milk with the just right sweetness. Feels like heaven!

Overall, it's a great Thai foods experience  here. Must try the Tom Yam Gung and Minced pork with basil. Totally value for money with its generous portion.

  1. Nice selection. I hope they adjust the spice level depending on the customer's palate. Not everyone likes their Thai food too spicy.

  11. I'm not a fan of Thai food because I'm allergic to spicy food. But based on my experience, simple dinners such as this is much better than the high class ones because these simple ones really focus on the quality of the food. :)
