The Milk Morning Campaign by Dutch Lady PureFarm Milk

Have you had your breakfast today? Do you know breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it helps you to fuel up and gets ready for the day. Without breakfast, one can get restless and tired, so always make time for breakfast.

And now there's more reason for you to take milk at breakfast with Dutch Lady PureFarm milk. Do you know that most Malaysian adults and children has a low intake of calcium, which will contribute to the development of osteoporosis. South East Asian Nutrition Survey (SEANUTS) indicates that 49 percent of the children studied in SEANUTS have calcium insufficiency and according to the Malaysian Adults Nutrition Survey concluded in 2014, the average intake of calcium among grown-ups are below 50 percent of the Malaysian Recommended Nutrient Intake.

The Milk Mornings campaign encourages Malaysian families to drink milk in the morning or incorporate it in breakfast to help meet your daily calcium requirement. As milk is one of the richest source of calcium and is easily accessible, incorporating milk into Malaysian's daily diet is the obvious solution to the issue of low calcium intake and its long-term health consequences. However, Malaysian are not consuming enough milk to reap its nutritious benefits.

Just two to three servings of milk a day can help one's meet the nutritional requirement. By drinking one serving or 250ml of milk during breakfast, we get a boost of at least 275mg of calcium and other essential nutrients that our bodies cannot generate on its own. Sufficient intake of calcium is crucial to help children develop strong bones and teeth, as well as adults maintain healthy bone mass for an active lifestyle.

Chat session with Professor Dr. Poh Bee Koon, Dutch Lady PureFarm ambassador Aaron Aziz and his entrepreneur wife, Diyana Halik, sharing their experience oo how they prepared their three children breakfast with milk before heading off to school.

If you don't like plain milk, try adding dairy to your diet by incorporating milk into your foods.
