Porky Delights @ Lai Ching Yuen, Grand Millenium Hotel

A few weeks ago, thanks to my friend invitation, there I was at Lai Ching Yuen Restaurant, Grand Millenium savouring pork delicacies by Chef Terence. Do you know Lai Ching Yuen is one of the very few hotel's restaurant in the golden triangle still offering porky goodness? The upmarket Chinese restaurant is a popular dining spot among the locals and hotel guests, offering an extensive menu using quality ingredients.

The warm and classic contemporary ambiance is perfect for a meal with business associates, colleagues, family or friends.

Pan-fried Black Pepper & Garlic Marinated Pork Chop RM38.00nett
Kick-started our dinner with the juicy and tender, black pepper & garlic glazed pork chop. Highly recommended!

Claypot Stewed Spare Rib with Taro & Coconut Milk RM38.00nett
One of my favourite of the evening, the stew was flavourful with tender lean ribs and soft taro. Full flavoured dish to paired with steamy hot rice.

Baked Superior Spare Rib in Chinese BBQ Sauce RM38.00nett
Next, we have the beautiful presented semi sweet BBQ sauce spare rib. Crispy on the outside, tender and moist inside, it was so divine, I couldn't resist and indulge in a second helping.

Stewed Home Made Tofu with Preserved Choy Sum & Minced Pork RM38.00nett
Old school home made tofu inspired by the chef's mom was simple, but so much pleasure. Soft tofu topped with preserved choy sum and flavourful minced pork.

Braised Spare Rib 'Wu Xi' Style served with Handmade Mantou RM38.00nett
The sweet and sour ribs were tender and juicy.  Definitely a good piece of finger licking good rib!

Simply adore the soft and fluffy handmade mantou too.

Traditional Bacon & Salted Fish in Casserole RM38.00nett
The thinly sliced bacon with fragrant aromas of salted fish was so inviting. A tad salty, but delish, the best of both worlds!

Wok Fried Roasted Pork Belly with Superior Soy & Chili RM38.00nett
Sweet and spicy pork belly stir fried with celery and capsicum.

Stewed Pork Tendon with Egg Plant & Minced Pork in Casserole RM58.00nett
Pork tendon is not only delicious but nutritious too. The well-cooked tendon is flavourful with soft and chewy texture.
Barbeque Pork with Honey served with Steamed Jasmine Rice & Fried Egg RM38.00nett
For rice lovers, you would love to dig into the hot and fluffy clay pot rice served with the tender and juicy barbeque pork.

Char Siew Wanton Mee with Prawn Dumpling Soup RM38.00nett
Thin and springy noodle served with the luscious barbeque pork and succulent prawn dumpling.

Braised Pork Noodle Soup with Runny Egg RM38.00nett
Noodles in hearty clear soup with flavourful and melt in the mouth pork slices.

Wok-fried Vermicelli with Shredded Pork RM38.00nett
Best seller! Al dente vermicelli fried with shredded pork, capsicum and bean sprouts, full of 'wok hei' fragrant. Highly recommended.

For desserts, we are served chilled thick Mango Sago with Palemo and Durian Puff.

Don't miss out the amazing pork delicacies at Lai Ching Yuen. Thumbs up for all the dishes, my personal favourite are Black Pepper & Garlic Pork Chop, Stewed Spare Rib with Taro, Braised Spare Rib 'Wu Xi', Traditional Bacon & Salted Fish and Wok-fried Vermicelli with Shredded Pork. The price is pretty reasonable too for the premium quality and ambiance.
