"Fashion Raya" 2016 @ Setapak Central Mall

It's "Fashion Raya" at Setapak Central Mall as the mall celebrates Hari Raya Aidil Fitri in a fashionable way from now till 16 July 2016. The mall hosts a wide variety of shops with over 250 brands and 230 retailers, from shopping, dining to entertainment. Last weekend, I was invited to the official launch of "Fashion Raya" which kicked-off with a variety of interesting activities. The mall was transformed to a trendy Raya ambience with classic decors reinterpreted in a modern and fashionable way. To further reflect the spirit of "Fashion Raya", traditional materials and decors such as batik, songket, lampu pelita and sangkar burung are given a refreshed and trendy look. Also, don't forget to check out an array of Raya booths selling Muslim ladies and men's apparel, cookies, Raya hampers and children's apparels.

We are honoured to have Wangsa Maju MP, YB Dato Dr. Tan Kee Kwong graced and officiated the event.

Shoppers were treated to a fashion show by popular brands in the mall, including Cotton On, Nichii, Polo Haus, SRB and Breeze.

The highlight of the event was the performance by Akim Ahmad of Akademi Fantasia Season 7 fame and The Best Performer & Best Vocal of Media Prima Singing Competition 2015. He serenaded us with his melodious hit songs and followed by a special Meet & Greet session with his fans.

Throughout the month long celebrations, a variety of exciting activities will be carried out to usher in the festive season. Besides regular fashion shows, there will be traditional entertainment such as tarian zapin, gamelan and dikir barat performances at the mall. Fashionista could also join tudung styling, make up and sampling tying workshops.

We had our  scrumptious 'Buka Puasa' dinner at Sakura Kristal Restaurant.

Three tiers shoppers reward exclusively for shoppers at Setapak Central mall  :

Tier 1 - Redeem limited edition Raya packets when you spend RM100 and above mall-wide (maximum 2 combined receipts on the same day)  
Tier 2 - Redeem a fruit bowl when you spend RM300 and above mall-wide (maximum 3 combined receipts on the same day) 
Tier 3 - Redeem a free exclusive plate set when you spend RM500 and above mall-wide (maximum 5 combined receipts on the same day)  

In addition, shoppers who spend RM250 and above will be eligible to enter the 1MMSC Contest, and stand a chance to win the Grand Prize, a holiday trip to Dubai. Other attractive prizes include jewelleries worth RM8,000 in total and consolation prizes worth RM3,000 consisting of travel luggages and watches, thanks to the main sponsor Habib Jewels and co-sponsors Cosas United and YL Time Gallery. On 23 June, as part of its CSR initiative, Setapak Central Mall will hosts children from Rumah Penyayang Nur Iman Danau Kota to a special fashion makeover session at H&M and thereafter to a Buka Puasa Dinner.
