Value for Money Authentic Japanese Cuisines @ Sushi Mentai, Serdang

Hi! If you know me in person, you would know I am a huge fan of Japanese food. Hence, the other day when I was in the vicinity of Serdang, I decided to check out this brand new Sushi Mentai's outlet tucked away in the new commercial development of Pusat Perniagaan Olive Hill. Japanese food can be a little pricey to enjoy regularly, but at Sushi Mentai, it was rather affordable. 

Salmon Toro RM11.80 (5 pieces)
First thing first, sashimi!!! We had the salmon belly, which was pretty decent. Love the freshness and lovely presentation too.

Another sashimi platter featuring fresh cut thick slices of salmon, octopus & white tuna.

Chuka Kurage RM4.80
Seasoned jellyfish were crunchy, but a tad salty for my preference.

Sashimi Salad RM9.80
Refreshing salad topped with ebiko, cube of salmon, octopus and white tuna, drizzled with Japanese white sesame sauce offers an abundance of flavour. 

Unagi Kabayaki RM18.80
Perfectly grilled in Kabayaki sauce, the eel was soft in texture with natural sweetness. Highly recommended!

Ebi Mentaiyaki RM9.80
Succulent and juicy prawns baked with creamy Mentaiyaki sauce was absolutely delicious. 

Salmon Mentai Dragon Maki RM12.80
Deep fried prawn sushi rolls topped with baked salmon.

Unagi Cheese Maki RM12.80 (4 pieces)
Delicious omelette sushi roll topped with baked unagi, cheese and drizzled with the sweet and tangy sauce. Highly recommended!

Salmon Wrap RM10.80 (6 pieces)
For those who don't fancy rice, you definitely must try this. Salmon, ebiko with thinly sliced cucumber wrapped in rice sheet, heaven in every bite. I don't mind to have this everyday!

Beside a la carte, Sushi Mentai also offers over 50 types of sushi on the rotating belt priced at RM1.80 (yellow plate) and RM2.80 (red plate) respectively. 

Seriously super worthy!

Salmon Mentaiyaki

One of the best seller, the baked salmon was laced with Sushi Mentai's signature creamy and flavourful mentaiyaki sauce. Seriously good!

Hana Ebiko/ Salmon Shrimp Roe
Oh my gosh.... look at those heavenly shrimp roes toppings. Best of both worlds, indeed. Must try!

Deep fried ebi bean curd sushi was so amazing that I have a second helping.  

Tori Katsu Curry Rice RM13.80

The rice set was served drenched in Japanese curry with crisp and tender chicken cutlet. I love the mild curry taste with a hint of sweetness.

All in all, Sushi Mentai offer great value for money Japanese cuisine without compromising on quality.
