I always look forward to the weekend! Basically weekend is my license to cheat, to satisfy my sweet tooth craving. Hence, last Saturday, under the recommendation of my foodie friends, we were at Xiao by Crustz Patisserie to check out the much raved about gateau.
Oh my.... so lovely. During my visit, there are about 7 types of gateau available.

From left to right :
Earl Grey RM15 - Earl Grey Bavarois, Earl Grey Ganache, Sable Breton, Sacher Sponge
Le Citron RM16 - Sable, Vanilla lime mousse, Madaline, Orange Mamarlade
La Vie en Rose RM16 - Sable Breton, Raspberry Jam, Pate a choux, Rose Chantily
La Vie en Rose, heavily laden with cream was a tad too rich for my liking. Lightly floral, the raspberry jam was sweet and tangy.
Earl Grey was the best among all. Buttery Sable Breton, subtle earl grey flavour with just right sweetness. Brilliant!
Le Citron was my least favourite, smacked with tart orange marmalade.

In a nutshell, Xiao by Crustz not only offer stunning gateau but tasty too. Price could be a little steep, though. Worth a visit at least once!
