Sunway Pyramid Hotel Reopens

Sunway Group has unveiled its newly renovated 4.5 star Sunway Pyramid Hotel (formerly known as Sunway Pyramid Hotel East) at a media preview event themed 'Waking Up To A Brand New Stay' recently. We were treated to a Sunway's "urban picnic" breakfast pop-up, a multi-sensory breakfast voyage that replicates the upcoming offerings that will be available at Kaffeinate(to open in December 2016), the Hotel's food and beverage kiosk, located at the main lobby serving freshly brewed gourmet coffees, specialty teas, cold-pressed juices and a range of light snacks and refreshments prepared by the hotel's team of chefs daily.

And of course, fresh cold pressed juices. So fresh, so pure, it was sooooo good. Lol

Located in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, the newly renovated Sunway Pyramid Hotel integrates the brand's latest design elements, reflecting the richness of refreshing colours with contemporary interior and stylish ergonomic furnishings, catering to the younger generation travellers preferences. The renovation increased the Sunway Pyramid Hotel's room inventory to 564 deluxe rooms and suites from the previous 549, featuring five categories of guestrooms and suites. The hotel will progressively open its guestrooms and suites after undergoing RM125 million renovation exercise since it closed on 1 April 2016 with a target to operate on its full inventory of 564 rooms and suites by end January 2017.

The Deluxe Room is the Hotel's lead-in room category with each room fully equipped with essential conveniences for an effortless stay. The Deluxe Park View offers spectacular views of Sunway Lagoon theme park, while the Deluxe Executive Room, ranging in size between 30 to 32 square-metres, is designed for guests who are seeking for a more spacious ambiance. There are 21 purpose-built family rooms and suites, designed to accommodate an increase in family and children for its vibrant interiors and a bunk bed.

The new Family Suite, measuring between 53 square metres to 60 square metres will be amongst the Hotel's largest rooms offering comfortable spaces, added extras like two bathrooms, a mini refrigerator, a microwave and bedding options for up to six persons.

The guestroom and suite in Sunway Pyramid was designed by Sunway Design Sdn Bhd, focused on technology improvements with complimentary Wi-Fi and wired broadband internet access, smart lightning, bedside USB charger outles, 42" LED Smart TV with satellite news, sports and movie channels, flexible workspaces, high pressure walk-in shower, ample closet space and numerous other enhanced facilities and upgrades. The hotel transformation also included a complete make-over on the hotel's main lobby, a new coffee lounge, lift landings, guest floor corridors, guestrooms and the back of house spaces.
