Christmas Cookies Baking Project by The Budimas Orion Home Children

With the festive season just around the corner, it's time to start hunting for delicious Christmas cookies. Well, there's nothing better than buying cookies to support charity. More than just a tasty treat, the Christmas Cookies Baking Project initiated by the children of Pusat Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Budimas Orion (Budimas Orion Home) main objective was to fund for their future tertiary education. The children have baked three different types of cookies which will be sold to the public at The Budimas Charitable Foundation's office located in Jalan Ipoh from 4th of December onwards while stocks last.

The Budimas Orion Home, an 18,500 sqf house located in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan stands at four storeys high and was built to house underprivileged children and orphans. Currently, there are a total of 76 children living in the Budimas Orion Home age ranging from 4 to 18 years old. The Budimas Charitable Foundation supports 32 charitable homes across 8 states in Malaysia, Selangor, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Johor, Kuantan, Sabah and Sarawak under the Budimas Home Charity Fund (BHCF) building and operating libraries for the children of the Orang Asli Communities via the Budimas Education Charity Fund (BECF) as well as provide breakfast to the less fortunate children in 106 schools across Malaysia.

This baking project was initiated by 15 of the elder children who have attended a 2 month baking class sponsored by one of the donors previously. There are 3 types of Christmas cookies on sale such as Pineapple Tarts, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Sugee Cookies. The profit from this bake sale project will go to their personal education fund for their tertiary education in university or colleges. The prices for the Christmas Cookies are as follows :

1. Pineapple tart RM30 per bottle
2. Sugee cookies RM30 per bottle
3. Chocolate Chips RM20 per bottle

*50 pieces of cookies per bottle
