Blackout Fest @ Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon

Switch off your lights and connect to earth. The future starts today! 

In conjunction with the global Earth Hour, last Saturday, Sunway Lagoon's Surf Beach was turned into a special outdoor festival in the dark. At 8.30pm sharp, lights were switched off for one hour to conserve energy, combat climate change and save the planet. It was a memorable night filled fun vibes, scrumptious food, amazing entertainment and togetherness as everyone switched off their gadgets.

Yeah.... Nothing beats these heavenly melty gooey European cheese. Oh boy... so satisfying! Of late, we had the pleasure to enjoy such indulging treats at a Raclette cheese party hosted by the French Interbranch Dairy Organization and European Union held at Cocott' KL.

A couple of weeks ago, we were delighted to join Oiso Malaysia's 7th anniversary celebration and the opening of their latest outlet at Berjaya Times Square. Oiso Korean Traditional Cuisine & Cafe known for its semi fine dining experience transformed complicated Korean cuisines into simple and decent traditional Korean foods suitable for everyone. They pride themselves on serving the finest dishes prepared using high quality ingredients. All the dishes are cooked with no preservatives and minimal additives as all their paste are homemade and delivered all the way from Korea.

Hada Labo's Beauty Talk Show with Popular Malaysian Celebrities @ MidValley

A couple of weeks ago, we had the opportunity to attend a beauty talk show with Taiwanese skincare guru Liu Yen hosted by Hada Labo. Held live for the first time in Malaysia, the entertaining yet educational talk show also features local celebrities namely Jojo Goh, Emily Chan, Carol Ong and Jeffrey Cheng.

Chef Tan Chee Kit, Winner of Anchor Food Professionals Pastry Challenge2018

Woo hoo.... heartiest congratulations to Chef Tan Chee Kit (Grainloaf Bakery) who has been proclaimed the winner of Anchor Food Professionals Pastry and Culinary Challenge for Best Pastries - Bakery Channel thanks to his mind-blowing and creative pastry creations. The Challenge is a four-day competition starting from 13 until 16 March based on three categories namely Pastries, Cake and Culinary. Pastry and Culinary maestros have been invited to form the luminary panel of judges with Chef Jean Francois Arnaud MOF serving as the Head Judge in Pastry Category, along with Chef Nazeri Ismail and Chef Arthur Heng in this category. In the Culinary Category, Chef Gerhard Albrecht serves as the Head Judge, along with Chef Fami Taufeq and Chef Sabri Hassan.

Confession! I have always hated my eyebrows. Eyebrows are one of the important features on our face that truly enhance our appearance and facial features. Unfortunately, being a typical Chinese, I was naturally born with extremely sparse eyebrows, hence, I've had my eyebrows embroidered years ago to get the eyebrows of my dream. Long story short, my eyebrows were perfect back then until the embroidery faded and turns copper brown, yet it just won't fade off. So for years, I would literally fill in my eyebrows with eyebrows pencil for bolder and more defined eyebrows. Apparently, the reddish eyebrows happen due to the poor quality of pigments and would require being removed with laser which will hurt like hell and not to mention, cost a bomb too. No, thank you! Lol
Over the years, I learned to embrace my copper brown eyebrows, until I was introduced to Sara by a dear friend recently. Unlike any other eyebrows embroidery therapist I've met, Sara was confident in correcting my copper brown eyebrows. Omg... finally, after so long.
