Good food is good mood. Especially if it's all you can eat and drink!
If you know me well enough, you would've known how much I love crustaceans seafood. Hence, when I found out the highly-raved seafood BBQ buffet in Thailand, Mangkorn Seafood is now opened in Malaysia, I decided to pay a visit to try it out. Nestled away in the secluded area of Hulu Langat, Mangkorn Seafood is located next to the Langat Seafood and Beer Garden.
For only 499 bht/adult (RM65++) and 299 bht/child (RM39++), you can feast to your heart's content with a selection of fresh crustaceans seafood such as freshwater prawns, flower crabs, squids, mussels, clams, cockles, bamboo clams, scallops, sea snails, talapia fish, along with chicken, pork and assorted mushroom. Not to mention, unlimited beer and toddy are included too! However, there will be an extra charge of 8 bht/minute if you exceed the 90 minutes dining time limit whilst food wastage will be charge 200 bht/person or 100 bht/100gm. Do note that if you are paying MYR currency, the price may differ according to the exchange rate on that day. Also, a deposit of RM10 is required and will be refunded when you finished dining without any food wastage.
Pretty decent spread, however, the Giant Freshwater Prawn is limited to one piece per diner.
Each table is given a charcoal pot, you can BBQ your seafood to perfection.
So fresh, you can even catch your own shrimp from the tank.
Superb fresh seafood so good on its own or dip into the homemade chili sauce for a depth of flavour.
Oh my... check out the plump and juicy clam.
Tantalise your taste buds with authentic Thai Som Tam, but you'll have to make your own at this corner with the freshly prepared ingredients. Even Thai rolled ice cream available too!
Only available on weekend, the Golden Roasted Pork which is included in the buffet is not to be missed! No matter how long the queue, just be patient and queue, I bet you won't regret it.
Absolutely juicy and succulent with the perfect crackling, hands down, this is definitely one of the best roast pork I've tasted, so awesome.
Wow... such massive crowd at 7pm.
The restaurant has been enjoying brisk business despite just opened last month. Friendly reminder, you may want to avoid coming over during peak hour.
On the whole, the seafood buffet was really value for money, superbly fresh and good food quality with ice cold beer, it was a great dining experience here. (Tsing Tsao or Heineken) The only downside is the service was a bit slow and we wished that we could stay slightly longer than 90 minutes. It can get rather hot and stuffy too, so be sure to wear something light.
