From left : Snoopy Martini, Dirty Martini, Deep Blue Sea Martini & Espresso Martini
My personal favourite goes to Dirty Martini, simply refreshing with a tangy kick.
Oysters (per piece) Tragheanna RM11, Premium RM13, Gallagher RM20
Ohh....oysters! You either love it or hate it, but if you are the former, you've come to the right place. Did you know Bait was one of the first bars in Kuala Lumpur to serve fresh oysters? Having been in the industry for so long, you can be sure of a delectable treat with some of the best oysters in town. That evening, we had the Irish premium oyster and I truly enjoyed it! Freshly shucked upon order, the succulent oysters was pleasantly briny with a sweet finish. I'm on cloud nine!
Bacalao Fish Stew RM29
This traditional Portuguese dish consists of Portuguese salted bacalao(salted cod fish), boiled potatoes, bay leaf, pimiento pepper and chunks of onions was really tasty and packed a punch of flavours.
Seafood Bouillabaisse RM45 (serves 2 to 3 pax)
Nothing beats a heartwarming and flavourful soup! The saffron kurau fish broth generously filled with an abundance of fresh seafood such as yabbies, squid, clams, mussels and sundried tomatoes was divine, good till the last drop.
Hokkaido Scallops RM36
Wonderfully seared, the succulent scallop served with mushy green peas and anchovies crumbs, added a touch of decadently creamy celeriac puree and drizzled with mace oil. The sweetness of scallop and the savoury notes of anchovies add a heavenly depth of flavour. Good stuff!
Risotto Barramundi RM49
Perfectly done, the al dente risotto cooked with parmesan cheese, Arborio rice and home-made kimchi paste was truly delicious. The luscious risotto served with a piece of crispy-skinned pan-fried wild catch barramundi was splendid, simply mind-blowing.
Baba Rum RM19
A bit of dessert is always the perfect way to end a meal. The rum-soaked mini yeast cake served with candy fruits was indeed amazing. It was so good, I wish the portion was bigger! Lol
Thank you Chef Terence Lopez for hosting us. We personally love all the dishes a lot. The new menu truly showcased continued appreciation of what fresh seafood taste like when done right.
Bait takes pride in serving only the freshest quality seafood(no frozen), and the best part is, they support local markets and farmers.(when possible) In case of ingredients sell out, they would rather disappoint the guest than serving low quality ingredients. If you are looking for a new restaurant to try, why not check out Bait?
Beautiful wood interiors create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Bait boasts an extensive wine list, beer and spirit, as well as innovative cocktail
Cozy al fresco dining area.
