Nasi Kerabu Ikan Goreng RM27
Our gastronomic journey started with this fragrant, fluffy blue rice infused with butterfly pea flowers. The visually appealing Malay rice dish was served with
ulam, daging bakar,
budu, fish cracker salted and
sambal. If you fancy a little more indulgent, you can opt to add-on ikan goreng
(fried fish) for RM4 or ayam percik for RM8.
Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik RM31
The juicy and tender whole chicken leg was generously coated with aromatic and
flavourful percik sauce.
Nasi Oxtail Bakar RM37
Our next dish was this famous Indonesian grilled oxtail served with sambal penyet, vegetable soup and steamed white rice. Although t
he chargrilled braised oxtail may not be aesthetically pleasing, it was downright delicious and goes really well with the super fiery
sambal. So hot but so good!
Sup Tulang Merah RM38
The highlight of our meal was this hearty, slightly spicy Sup Tulang Merah. Incredibly tasty and rich in
flavour, the lamb bone marrow simmered with chef's special aromatic red gravy comes with
mantou bun (steam/fried). Unlike those typical sup tulang merah which is usually bright red in
colour, their version contains no artificial
colouring, but it surely does not compromise on taste, good to the last drop.
Seafood Oriental Pesto RM28
Generously laden with prawns, mussels and squid, this Asian version pesto was given a spicy twist with bird's eye chili and the addition of
daun kesum, peanut and torch ginger flower which further elevates its
flavours. We also opted to add-on soft shell crab
(RM10). Texture wise, the spaghetti was cooked to al dente perfection.
Teriyaki Chicken Chop RM28
Beautifully presented, the chicken chop tastes as good as it looks. Moist and tender, the succulent boneless chicken chop glazed with sweet and
savoury teriyaki sauce was grilled to perfection served atop mashed potatoes with sauteed vegetables.
Urap Spring Rolls RM15
A myriad of
flavours and textures, these Javanese spring rolls were generously filled with steamed vegetables mixed with seasoned spiced grated coconut. I certainly enjoyed this! So good on its own, you can also dip it into the rich peanut dipping sauce to further enhance its
flavour.
Cekodok Pisang RM12
Moving on to dessert, we tried the traditional Malay kuih, cekodok pisang. These deep fried banana fritter balls were light and fluffy, goes well with a cup of coffee or tea.
Tiramisu RM16
The tiramisu was lovely too! Imagine layers of of
mascarpone cheese and coffee-soaked lady fingers with a hint of orange marmalade, sweet and tangy, such ultimate indulgence.
Cream Catalana RM14
Taste almost similar to creme brulee, this smooth and creamy custard was infused with refreshing and tangy citrus
flavour.
Quench your thirst with the refreshing
Wild Berry Mojito (RM15) or the sweet and tangy
Kedondong Asam Boi(RM12.90).
Latte RM12
The coffee here is pretty decent too! The best part is, you can elevate your coffee experience with your selfie printed on the coffee for RM3 only.
Rose Latte RM13.90
The restaurant is easily located along Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad 3. If you're driving, fret not, there's an open air car park directly opposite of the cafe.
Come for the food, stay for the coffee and don't forget to take lots of pictures for your Instagram. :D
