Deliciously crafted with four small gateau that create a symphony of flavours such as Black Sesame Cherry, Matcha Mango, Peach Berry and Blackberry Tea Chocolate each lovingly crafted to evoke the charm of autumn and accompanied by a cute edible bunny topper. Alternatively, you may purchase the Mid-Autumn toppers, which can be used on any 7-inch artisan cakes by Texture by C3 Lab.
The co-founders of Texture by C3 Lab are pastry chefs Chef Chong (aka Breadpitt) and chef Lawrence Bobo (aka Lawrence Bobo). Chef Chong and Chef Bobo are world-renowned pastry chefs who are passionate about creating high-quality pastries and chocolates.
Known as the "Brad Pitt of Pastry", Chef Chong Ko Wai (@breadpitt) has earned the admiration of thousands of pastry fans. He is renowned for his innovative French pastries with the perfect balance of flavours and textures. Chef Chong is well-known for his meticulous attention to detail, which has been reflected in his artistic depictions of sugar and chocolate. His team achieved 6th place in the 2017 Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in Lyon. Additionally, he was awarded 2nd place in the category of entremets creations at the Mondial des Arts Sucres in 2016, thus achieving the highest ranking in the competition.
Meanwhile, Chef Lawrence Cheong (@Lawrence_Bobo) is renowned for his exquisite chocolate creations and masterpieces. He takes the traditional patisserie and the classic chocolates and transforms them into a stunning array of delectable treats. His team placed 4th in the competition and were awarded the title of “Best Chocolate Showpiece” at the 2015 Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie in Lyon.
We had the pleasure of sampling some of the delectable savouries and desserts available at Texture by C3 Lab and thoroughly enjoyed each and every dish that was presented.
The hearty Big Breakfast was composed of sourdough toast, grilled bratwurst chicken sausage, sunny side eggs, grilled tomato, stuffed portobello mushroom, and avocado.
We also had the Croissant Beef Bacon with Egg Mayo. Crispy, flaky croissant stuffed with beef, egg, mustard butter, and some fresh greens, a nice mix of flavours and textures. It is a must-try!
Sourdough Chicken Spinach Pesto is also one of our favourites. It comes with creamy pesto mayo, garlic butter, button mushroom, grilled chicken, grilled pineapple and cheese slice.
We also had the opportunity to sample their freshly baked sourdough bread served with butter with sea salt, cream cheese with beef & apple and cream cheese with smoked duck. The delightful combination of tangy blue cheese and cranberries complemented by the soft sourdough, making it an ideal choice for any meal, whether it be a breakfast, lunch or afternoon snack. The heavenly sourdough is available at both The Hub Coffee Roasters and Texture by C3 Lab.
Apart from the delish food, we were also captivated by their latte art, strawberry yoghurt, tropical fruit yoghurt and addictively good coffee orange.
For dessert, we indulged in the Exotic Plated Dessert which consists of Yuzu Meringue, Mango Yuzu Sorbet, Mango Compote, Whipped Ganache, Crumble and Lime Zest. Sour-sweet, light and fluffy, this beautifully plated dessert provides a satisfying taste and texture that is simply outstanding.
Our dining experience here was a pleasant one, with a welcoming atmosphere and prompt service. We are definitely eager to return for more.
