Potatolicious! I'm reminiscing about the fantastic U.S. Potatoes dishes I experienced at the Pengembaraan U.S. Potatoes Di Dapur Nusantara event. Held at TCH Foodworks, the highly anticipated live cooking event showcased two esteemed culinary maestros, Chef Bob from Malaysia and Chef Imran from Singapore, elevating U.S. Potatoes to new culinary heights in a special cross-border collaboration that celebrated the versatility of U.S. Potatoes.
In addition to the cooking demonstrations, the event included a variety of fun and interactive activities. It commenced with a vibrant Potato Showcase featuring an assortment of U.S. fresh potato varieties such as Russet, Red, and Purple, along with various cuts of frozen U.S. potatoes and instant U.S. mashed potato mixes.
We were then treated to an exclusive culinary showcase where Chef Bob and Chef Imran unveiled innovative and festive dishes featuring U.S. Potatoes, demonstrating the tuber’s versatility in the local cuisine. From rich, creamy textures to crispy, golden perfection, the event spotlighted how this humble yet powerful ingredient can be transformed into a diverse array of mouthwatering treats.
This one-of-a-kind event was a feast for both the taste buds and the senses, redefining the role of U.S. Potatoes in festive and everyday meals. The unique recipes crafted by Chef Bob (U.S. Russet Potatoes and Berries Strudel with Ice-Cream, U.S. Russet Potato Sambal Lodeh and Lontong U.S. Hash Brown) and Chef Imran (U.S. Potatoes Bergedil Pasta with Sambal Kekapis, U.S. Potatoes Donuts with Orange Cream and U.S. Potatoes Loaded Daging Salai Potato Wedges) took us on a hearty and comforting gastronomic adventure through the heart of Nusantara, which were absolutely divine.
The event wrapped up with a fun DIY potato platter, where we got the chance to assemble a platter featuring Kuih bakar potato, Angku kuih potato, Donut potato, Pudding potato, Samosa and Tohu bergedil.
All in all, it was a great experience exploring the versatility and deliciousness of U.S. Potatoes. Thank you for having me!
